Memorial Park Disc Golf Course

The idea

to put in a disc golf course was first conceived when a group of people representing the Forman Park District visited a park district convention inSaint Louis in 2004. We were looking for family-friendly activities for the park to draw more people, and disc golf is an up-and-coming sport. Our course was designed by a professional course designer, and although it may not be particularly challenging for people who disc golf regularly, the simplicity of the course and the relatively small size makes it ideal for introducing novices to the sport.

YouTube has some excellent video training on how to play disc golf, including game strategy and how to improve your throw. Just go to the YouTube website, do a search for the word "discraft" and click on a video. Discraft is the world leader in disc golf discs and accessories, and as a testimony to their innovative business sense they offer training videos via "YouTube".
